Health Services
The EFMHS Health Office is open during the school day. The Enosburg School District has two full-time nurses who provide health services for Pre-K through 12th grade students.
Health forms. Health forms are updated every year. We ask parents to complete the forms sent home at the beginning of the year. This allows the nursing staff to update your child's health records regarding immunizations, changes in medications, or health conditions/concerns. It also gives us permission to administer over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol, Advil, Tums, or Benadryl to your child. We encourage everyone to fill these forms out and return them to the Health Office as quickly as possible.
As per school board policy, students who require prescription medication during the school day are required to have an authorization form signed by the physician and parent. Additionally, the medication must arrive at school in the original prescription bottle. Prescription medication will NOT be administered without authorization and proper packaging. If there are any questions concerning administration of medication, please contact the Health Office for further assistance and clarification.
All student athletes will need to have a current physical exam on file. Students must have a physical exam every two years to be eligible to play sports.
Students in 9th and 12th grade will have vision screening. If there are any changes in vision, a referral letter will be sent home if any further evaluation is deemed necessary.
Health Dismissals. Students who are ill during the school day need to come to the Health Office in order to be evaluated and excused home. Without nursing assessment, students will not be excused for health reasons.
