FOUNDATION ART

GRADES 9-12

Prerequisite: a desire to learn about art and create art as well as a willingness to take risks and try something new.

In this semester long class, students explore the studio side of art: drawing with multiple different mediums, painting, and print-making to name just a few. Students will learn about the different elements of art and principles of design. Art history is commonly weaved into instruction, so students gain knowledge of different art forms as well as an appreciation of art.
