My name is Mrs. Lan Nguyen Ullrich, and this is my tenth year teaching at Enosburg Falls High School. I primarily teach 10th grade Modern World Literature and also work with the Core Academy alternative program at EFHS. This year I'm excited to be teaching a new course called Social Justice & Equity.
I'm a full-time working mother and business owner. This is my ninth year working as an in-school coordinator (ISC) for the Johnson State College Upward Bound Program as an educational liaison, which is an academic program for first generation college bound students who come from modest/low income families to help students with the college application process.
I earned my bachelor's degree in English and master's degree in Education from Johnson State College. I come from a family of immigrants, as both of my parents are immigrants from two different Asian countries. This is one of the major reasons why pursuing higher education (and studying how education impacts local and global communities) is so important to me, and I work to emphasize this with my students. I thoroughly enjoy working with high school students. Teaching literature and writing is a wonderful way to explore the world and gain a better understanding of various cultures, philosophies, time periods, and the human condition.
